She also has apps and t-shirts of her own that she sells from her Instagram page, but her main source of income is simply being funny and learning the Instagram system well enough to advertise on Instagram.
Oshry’s main source of income is basically serving as an affiliate marketer on Instagram. You’ll be hard pressed to find the photos that serve as ads on Oshry’s page, however, and that’s exactly the point. Oshry is incredibly good at making the products who decide to sponsor her a part of her daily posts – so much so that the naked eye is unlikely to tell that the product was placed there purposefully.

She jokingly quips in an Internet interview that Instagram has helped her learn “how to do many business-like things! I know how to take a conference call.”
Using Instagram to Promote and Expand a Business
Oshry actually began her Internet career on Tumblr as a hobby, detailing her experience in a PR internship that she took as a freshman at NYU. That blog was called “GirlWithAJob,” but it did not stay that way for long. She said herself that she had no interest at all in PR, and she quickly lost that job, changed the name of her blog to “GirlWithNoJob,” and an affiliate marketing legend was born.
Posting six or seven times a day on Instagram was easy because the habit had already been formed through Tumblr, and she built her audience quickly on the new platform. Her posts caught fire because of her intelligent sense of humor, and the offers started to roll in.
Oshry did not sit back and wait on her brand to build itself, however. In the same way that she jumped from Tumblr to Instagram as the latter platform began to explode, she now uses her Instagram to promote her other social media profiles on YouTube and Snapchat. As such, her reach continues to expand, and companies continue to take notice.

Oshry is a student of creating enticing images on Instagram. She stays on top of current events almost by the hour, and if you are looking for a perspective on the latest in pop culture, her social media will never let you down. All of her posts are original, and many copycats will share and syndicate her posts to their own sites because of the juice they always seem to have with the highly influential young market of modern chic consumer that seems to flock to Instagram.
